I don’t watch much tv, but my wife and I both watch 24. We started last year and haven’t seen much if any of the first two seasons. Last year was effective at keeping us in suspense from week to week. This year, had a slow start, but has recently become more interesting. This years storyline is certainly riffing on the Whitehouse PR feed. I think Salon nailed it yesterday when they called it war-on-terror porn. It certainly feels like a form of sedentary rubbernecking we are engaged in every monday night.
